1982 - 1992 - Stonewall Pension Services (SPS), Portland, Oregon
I began my career as a plan consultant working with SPS, a premier administrative and consulting firm in Portland in the 1980's. My practice included performing plan valuations, contribution analysis and allocations, plan compliance testing and providing guidance to sponsors of qualified plans. In 1989, I earned my CPC designation and was promoted to Senior Consultant level. SPS provided third party administrative services for over 600 retirement plans.
1992 - 2000 - Cascade Pension Services, Portland, Oregon
My retirement plan consulting career continued with Cascade Pension Services. CPS offered an opportunity to help build the business, which was newly formed in 1990. I was a part owner and provided leadership in the areas of reporting standards, internal workflow processes, compliance and marketing. As Managing Consultant, I was responsible for maintaining approximately 100 qualified plans and provided peer review and technical support to a team that maintained approximately 300 plans.
2000 - 2002 - Investmart Retirement Services, Portland, Oregon
As a Managing Consultant, I was responsible for our daily valuation services, staff and operations. I focused my efforts in building our client base and creating efficient processes to support our daily valuation clients and staff needs. I also continued to provide consulting and administrative services for approximately 100 retirement plans and managed a team of administrators that maintained approximately 300 plans.
2002 – 2005 – Dougherty Petroff Associates
As Senior Associate, I managed the administration services for retirement plans sponsored by small business clients and provided technical guidance to associates.
